Test Dog # 1

Michael & Bo

Came to the line at 7:47 am

RF: Smacked it!

HF: made a rapid retrieve

DF: Pinned it!

MR: went into the mark just to the right of the blind drove a bit deep and was Handled to the bird.

Test Dog # 2

Margot & Bug

Came to the line at 7:55 am

RF: hammered it!

HF: front-footed it!
DF: went wide left of the fall area, est a hunt and then hunted the area and found his bird.

MR: went deep and enroute to the DF then the dog was Handled to the bird.

 

Series 9 -- Test Dog

Test Dog # 1

Margot & Bug

Came to the line at 7:49 am

GO: Straight to the bird

HF: Nice mark!

RR: ran a path at the gun station, jumped into the woods, down to the point to scoop up the bird.

DF: arrived on the far shore to the left of the gun station, the dog popped and was Handled to the bird.

Came to the line at 8:13 am

HF: drilled it!

RR: reached the area then went a bit deep and was Handled to the bird.

GO: hammered it!

DF: Nailed it!

Came to the line at 2:18pm

lined into the water near the point, re-entered and then went out of sight due to high grasses, the dog was picked up to do some trimming.








Test Dog #2

Margot & Bug

Came to the line at 2:45pm

1 to get into the pond, 1 in the water, missed the point and stayed in the water, re-entered, had a few more whistles in the second piece, to keep on-line and complete the blind

Mitch Brown & Harry

A single test dog was run to exhibit any condition changes that may affect the running of the test this am. However, these are the conditions this am that proved to be helpful for a good completion of the Series 7 Water Triple.

Flyer: good mark

RR: arrived at the gun station est a hunt on the left shore and then was Handled to the bird.

LR: swam a path to the right of the large rock on the land bridge, exited the pond at the right corner of the pond, est a hunt on the land bridge and was Handled "back" to the area to retrieve the bird

Test Dogs 7th Series

Test Dog #1

Margot & Bug

Came to the line at 12:10 pm

Flyer: smacked it!

Right Retired: reached the holding blind, went deep of the marshy channel the bird was thrown across, hunted deep before working her way over to retrieve the bird.

Long Retired: jumped into the first piece of water, skimming the backside of the flyer station. Swam toward a large rock land bridge then re-entered the water cont. to swim exited the pond and put her nose on the bird.

Came to the line at 12:26 pm

Flyer: Nice mark!

Right Retired: front-footed it!

Long Retired: swam a path pushing right off of the Flyer station, exited to the right of the big rock reaching the land bridge right and shallow of the fall made a big loop toward the fall just missing the fall area shallow then turned and went to retrieve the bird.

Test Dog #1 Mike and Bo

Traveled a good angle along the levee, two whistles to get through the ditch, carried this line near the bird, needing only one more to check down at the tree.

Test Dog #2  Margo and Bug

Carried a good initial line to whistles to get through the ditch, one to get through the left flyer, dog was lost behind the trees and it was discovered that a bird had not been planted.

Series 5 Test Dog

Test Dog # 1

Mike & Bo

GO: nice mark!

LRET: split the difference between the gun stations and est a hunt then was Handled to the bird.

SRET: missed the bird on the right kept driving up hill and was Handled into the bird.

LFLYER: went under the arc est a hunt deep and worked it out.

Test Dog # 2

Margot & Bug

GO:good mark!

LFLYER: straight to the bird

SRET:stepped on it!

LRET:straight to the gun station and over to the bird.

Series 4 Test Dog.

3 whistles up front, 1 whistle on the point, several whistles in the next piece to get her near the point with no avail, as slide past the point going out to sea, needing several whistle to retrieve the bird on the opposite shore

4 whistles to get past the corner of the pond, 1 whistle over the point 1 to high and dry on the second point and just a few to finish it out.

F: made a swoop and a scoop of the bird

M: straight to the bird!!!

LR: followed the left tree-line disappeared and reappeared en-route to the fall area to retrieve the bird.

F: stepped on it!

M: under the & up the hill est a hunt deep of the fall, before working into the area to retrieve the bird.

LR: took off on a good line went over levee squared it and went deep out of sight hunting left of the holding blind before working it out and retrieving the bird.

F:drove up the hillside on the ridge and was Handled to the bird.

M: traveled a path behind and left of the gun station, went out of sight reappear left and deep of the station. She then was Handled to the bird to complete the retrieve.

LR: straight to the bird. excellent mark!

Flyer: went into the mark left of the gun station then turned left to  scoop up the bird.

LR: entered under the arc of the mark then turned to the left to make a clean retrieve.

Blind: dog ran tight to the tree-line on a straight path had a couple whistles at the end to complete retrieve
